VMFi is Selected as a 2026 Web Summit Impact Startup

VMFi is honored to be selected as an Impact Startup at Web Summit, a recognition for startups using innovation to create meaningful impact aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).
According to Web Summit, Impact startups are selected based on how their innovations contribute to one or more of the 17 SDGs and whether their solutions have the potential to create far-reaching impact within their industries and beyond.
For VMFi, this mission closely connects with what we have been building from the beginning.
From cross-language travel experiences and airport service counters to government and public service environments, we are focused on one core challenge: how to make real-world communication more accessible regardless of language.
Language barriers are not only communication problems. They can also become barriers to information, education, public services, mobility, and participation.
By developing real-time multilingual voice AI solutions, VMFi aims to make multilingual communication more immediate, natural, and accessible in physical service environments.
Our work is particularly aligned with several UN Sustainable Development Goals:
SDG 4 Quality Education: Helping people from different language backgrounds access information and learning opportunities more effectively.
SDG 9 Industry, Innovation and InfrastructureEnabling multilingual communication to become part of the next generation of digital and physical service infrastructure.
SDG 10 Reduced InequalitiesReducing communication and information gaps caused by language differences and improving access to services for people from diverse backgrounds.
For us, being selected as a Web Summit Impact Startup is not simply a milestone. It is also a reminder of why we started building multilingual voice technology in the first place.
We believe the value of voice AI should not be measured only by speed, accuracy, or model performance, but also by whether it helps more people communicate, participate, and be understood.
Breaking language barriers, one real conversation at a time.
